Buckles Launches New SIPP
3rd March 2005
Buckles Investment Services, the national IFA, based in North Wales, is launching a Self Invested Pension Plan (SIPP) on 4 th March 2005.
The SIPP, called the Snowdonia Pension Account, is administered by Wolanski, the pensioner trustee and will be available through Buckles’ advisers.
The SIPP will complement Buckles’ Snowdonia fund of funds range, which was launched in October 2004. Subject to the detail of the final legislation, Wolanski plans to accept fine art, residential property and other alternative investments permissible after the rules governing pensions change in April 2006, the so-called A-Day.
Nigel Speirs, Chief Executive of Buckles said:
“Investors need to be aware of the changes that will affect pensions now. It is important to get a vehicle in place ahead of A-Day and we believe that the SIPP is the most appropriate one. Wolanski has been chosen because of its expertise, efficient administration and competitive charges.”
The set up fee is £350, with an annual management charge of £300 for investors just holding Snowdonia funds and £400 for investors in external funds or equities. There is no minimum investment.
